through High School. Sunday Church School runs from September through May. Check
the Worship Schedule on
our Home Page for exact dates.
Preschool through High School classes will be using "Faithweaver"
materials. All levels will be studying the same Scripture at the same time in
hopes of fostering family discussions. The lessons during the fall come from the
Old Testament and include the following
Bible points: God helps us when we are afraid; God provides all we need and
more; God is patient; We all can serve God; God helps us accomplish his plans ;
God’s power works for good in our life , to list just a few.

Worship Schedule on our Home Page for exact dates.
The Adult Forum
is discussing "How Lutherans Interpret the Bible". We are viewing segments of a
video series hosted by Mark Allen Powell, a Lutheran Pastor and Bible Professor
at Trinity Lutheran Seminary. There is a time for thought and discussion after
each video segment. The seven sessions of this series are:
Session 1: "The Word of God"
Session 2: "What Lutherans Say About the Bible"
Session 3: "Where the Bible Comes From"
Session 4: "Interpreting the Bible in Context"
Session 5: "Determining Right from Wrong"
Session 6: "The Many Meanings of the Bible"
Session 7: "Devotional Bible Reading"
Each session stands alone so don't worry if you can't make them
all. You're encouraged to attend as many as you can.

An adult Bible Study is usually offered on a weekday evenings in
the fall and again in the spring. A Bible Study at Noon is also available. These studies cover a variety of scripture and
topics.
Our midweek topic during fall, 2008 is "Foods of the
Bible: From Adam's Apple to the Last Supper" led by Pat Mayes. Pat
invites you to join the group on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 pm to
discover the many meanings of the foods mentioned in Scripture.

Confirmation is the opportunity for young people to confirm the
promises that were made by them or for them at their baptism. Our confirmation
program allows 9th and 10th graders to explore what their faith and church
really mean to them. Concepts are presented, but serious discussion is
encouraged to help the participants think through the application of these
concepts to their lives. The youth are encouraged to voice their questions and
concerns on any subject.
The overall Confirmation program is multi-faceted, including
confirmation classes, involvement with regular Sunday Church School and Worship,
and participation in the Passion Play. Classes are held
approximately twice per month. Check the calendar
of events for specific dates. The Passion Play is presented every year on
Good Friday. We also take the Passion Play on the road, presenting it to another
congregation. During rehearsals and presentation of the Passion Play, the
participants end up memorizing the passion story, which is the heart of the New
Testament.

Prince of Glory offers a morning Preschool program for children
ages 3-6 (not yet in school). Classes meet September - May from 9AM - 11:30AM.
The 3-year-old class, which meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings focuses on basic
skills, concepts and socialization. The 4-year-old class, which meets Monday,
Wednesday and Friday mornings, prepares children for kindergarten entry. Both
classes are taught with the idea that learning should be fun. Children are
encouraged to be creative and to try new things. A wide variety of activities
are offered everyday to stimulate children's imaginations.
Prince of Glory's daycare program operates year-round from 7AM -
6PM, Monday - Friday. We offer developmentally appropriate activities designed
to meet the needs of each child from age 6 weeks to 6 years. Our caring staff
and low child-to-adult ratio helps children to feel comfortable and encourages
socialization. We have an infant room for ages 6 weeks to 18 months, a toddler
room for ages 18 months to 3 years and a preschool room for ages 3 - 6. Age
groups meet in separate areas, but often have opportunities to visit. Children
are provided with opportunities for art, music and movement, stories, outdoor
play activities, and some quiet time, as well. Our two outdoor play areas
provide ample space and equipment for children to run, climb and ride.
More information, including current tuition and fees, can be
found on our Preschool/Daycare page.
