Angel's Place

Angel's Place operates Christian group homes for adults with developmental disabilities. Members of Prince of Glory have painted the facility, provided some light building maintenance and donated needed items, such as sheets, towels, etc..

Food Baskets

Prince of Glory participates in the distribution of gifts of food to several families in need. We do this once a month. Members bring food to church, where it is assembled into packages according to the needs of each family. We drop off the assembled packages at the families' homes.

Participating in Habitat for HumanityHabitat for Humanity

Prince of Glory has provided workers to assist in construction of new houses as part of the Habitat for Humanity program. These houses are being built for deserving families who spend their own time working with us on the project. It's a special opportunity to see the impact that a project like this can have on people's lives. We have usually participated in this once every other year (alternating years with Paint the Town projects).

South Oakland Homeless Shelter

Once a year, usually in October, Prince of Glory provides volunteers to staff the South Oakland Homeless Shelter. The shelter is housed in other local churches. Our volunteers spend the night, provide transportation, prepare and serve dinner and breakfast.

Paint the Town

Paint the Town is a program that organizes volunteers to paint the homes of people who cannot afford to maintain their homes in this way. We usually spend a part or all of a Saturday cleaning up, repairing, and painting a home. We have usually participated in this once every other year (alternating years with Habitat for Humanity projects).

Thanksgiving Dinner

Prince of Glory members cook and serve Thanksgiving Dinner to senior citizens in the city of Clawson each year. Coordinating the preparation of the food is a large undertaking, but, by the grace of God, everything has come together resulting in a well attended and well received event.

Thanksgiving Canned Goods

Each year at our Thanksgiving Eve service, canned goods are brought to church. The children bring the cans and boxes forward during the service as part of our offering. The food collected is given to community organizations to distribute to people who need it.
