Dear Linda
Greetings from Pastor Elifuraha Massawe. It is very interesting to hear from you and also from our Sister Congregation, Prince of Glory Lutheran Church. As I had written to Pastor John Siefkin and probably you are also informed I am now in Norway for studies. I am studying at Master of Philosophy in Theology (MPhil.) level and this will take me two years of studies (from August 2002 to June 2004). Therefore on one hand I can say that I am now far from Mbulu, but on the other hand I can just say something I know from Mbulu because few days ago I talked with Pastor Samwel Suule on phone. Generally speaking they are fine and everything is OK. However for a while there is a problem of internet communication there, they cannot open YAHOO, the service which was started there is now closed because of the running cost. They can only open their internet address if someone goes to another places such as Arusha, Karatu, etc. But still both of thier e-mail addresses are! in use; (both mbuluparish@yahoo.com and mbuluparish2@yahoo.com ) although due to the mentioned above problem they cannot open these e-mails in Mbulu for the moment. As I talked with Pastor Samwel they got information from POG about the money which could be wired to them although he said by that time they did not get the letters that are mentioned in the e-mail. I heard also that the Kindergarten School is started, the first class has stated last year in one building which is almost completed, but the other building are still in the foundation stage. For the moment I can say what I have said is what know from Mbulu Parish. Frankly speaking you may get the official report from Pastor Samwel because for a moment I am no longer working as a pastor there but I just wanted to share with you what I know. I can promise that in a very short time they can get your ! message, I will forward your e-mail through the address of our bishop which can be opened there (he has his personal address at home which is not yahoo). It is really very important to be in touch. I hope in the future this problem of internet in Mbulu will be solved. Yours in Chirst's love Rev.Elifuraha S. T. Massawe
