Dear Pastor Sulle:
Pastor Siefken just have me another beautiful cloth that you
sent to us. I have been displaying the various cloths that you have sent so our
entire congregation can enjoy them. Please accept our thanks for your beautiful
gifts.
I also wanted to let you know that we have been preparing for
the November Breakfast with Jill McKinney from the Synod offices. We have been
teaching our Sunday School Students about your Country. They are learning some
Swahili songs. We hope to show them some rhythm instruments made in your
country. A church member who is a splendid artist taught the children how to
draw animals that may be found in your Country: giraffes, elephants, lions &
fish. Well, it is our understanding that some of your countrymen maybe fish
farmers. Is that true?
You have asked several times about our Preschool/Daycare. There
are several laws in our State/Country that dictate how we are supposed to run
our center. We have to have a specific number of adult workers to children,
certain procedures that we have to follow under certain circumstances, etcetera.
I am not sure if you have such laws/regulations defining your operations. I am
enclosing a flyer about our preschool, that describes the curriculum and
activities that the children will experience during the course of the school
year, September - May. I hope that is of some benefit.
We will keep you in our prayers, and send our best wishes.
Your in Christian Fellowship,
Linda S. Newton, Outreach
