Welcome to Prince of Glory. We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) located in Madison Heights, Michigan, USA, near Detroit. We serve the Lord with a program of worship, study, service, and outreach opportunities.

When our charter was signed on April 16, 1961, our church received its name from an 18th century hymn by Isaac Watts:
        "When I survey the wondrous cross
        On which the PRINCE OF GLORY died,
        My richest gain I count but loss
        And pour contempt on all my pride."
It is from the words of this hymn that our church received its call and mission.

Sundays

Early Worship Service        9:00 AM
Sunday School                   10:00 AM
Late Worship Service         11:15 AM

We joyfully invite all who are baptized and believe in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins & strengthening of their lives to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion at our services each week.

A contemporary praise service is normally offered during the late service on the second Sunday of each month.

A Nursery is available at both services and during Sunday Church School for children through age 5.

We are located at 1357 W. Fourteen Mile Rd., Madison Heights, Michigan. We are on the south side of Fourteen Mile Rd. between Stephenson Hwy. and Campbell Rd. just west of the Oakland Mall. What's Up?

Prince of Glory members are encouraged to attend the POG Annual meeting Part II on Sunday, January 29th @ 12:30
p.m. after the late service. A light lunch will be provided. The second session of the Annual meeting shall include the election of member to the SE-MI Synod Assembly and presentation of the annual reports of the various committees as well as any other necessary business.

Prince of Glory is happy to announce the grand re-opening of its preschool program. The last year has been spent remodeling the preschool room and updating the curriculum. Our Christian education program promotes physical, social, and emotional development through hands-on experiences. This is created by playing, exploring, and learning with others in a fun, safe and healthy environment. More information is available at our preschool website.
