Welcome to Prince of Glory. We are a congregation of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) located in Madison Heights, Michigan, USA,
near Detroit. We serve the Lord with a program of
worship, study, service, and outreach opportunities.
When our charter was signed on April 16, 1961, our church received its name
from an 18th century hymn by Isaac Watts:
"When I survey the wondrous
cross
On which the PRINCE OF GLORY died,
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my
pride."
It is from the words of this hymn that our church received its call and mission.

Sundays of the month. Lutherans believe Christ is truly present in, with, and
under the bread and wine of Holy Communion. All baptized Christians who trust in
Christ for forgiveness of sin and eternal life are welcome to commune with us. You do not have to be Lutheran or come from a Lutheran background.
A Nursery is available at both services and during Sunday Church School for
children through age 5.
